No more juice...only WATER. I have completely cut out all juices from my diet and replaced it all with nothing but water. For days when the water is a bit to boring, I for for some lemon water.

No more sugar. I go for HONEY now. Cutting out the amount of sugar I took in was a must. If I don't need sugar (i.e in tea or coffee ) I try not to add any. If I do need some sweetener, I go for some good old organic honey... But just because it is natural, does not mean I go over board. It's all about moderation. p.s if you want to know if your honey is organic, place it in the refrigerator. If it crystallises, that baby is organic. If not...ummmm you get it.

Vegetable oil?.. Nope. Going of COCONUT OIL instead. Virgin coconut oil is highly recommended for cooking because it is stable enough to resist heat-induced damage plus it's even better than extra-virgin olive oil, which is great when used for homemade salad dressing....Ohh and it has healthier fats than other oils out there. I use my virgin coconut oil for cooking and some baking . Read more: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/why-coconut-oil-is-better-than-the-other-vegetable-oils-in-your-pantry.html#ixzz4CsMNtdJz

Instead of the potatoes I'm grabbing some BUTTERNUT SQUASH As soon as I started this journey I already knew that my love for potatoes was going to be a problem. I love love love potatoes. I will have them boiled, fried, baked, chopped in stews, blended in soups... Hell, I'll even have them in between two slices of bread. Yup..I am a potato addict. So for the journey to a "healthy me" I did little of research, spoke to the Nutritionist available at Revitalise and decided my my next best potato substitute was the lovely butternut squash. It's packed with both flavor and nutrition and can be used in so many ways! My personal favourite way to have them, is oven roasted with a little oil, salt, pepper and onions.... slurp.

Who needs fattening salad dressing. Glad some Vinegar... or in my case, Balsamic Vinegar. Eating more salad is not a problem for me. I love salads. My only problem is the dressing. Ranch dressing or thousand island dressing is delicious but incredible fattening. So, as a substitute I pour little of balsamic vinegar on my salad and crunch away.

Snacking time: No more candy, I only go for NATURAL ALTERNATIVES. I am a lover of anything sweet and salty. And when I think of sweet and salty, I immediately think of a delicious snickers bar. So when that craving kicks in, I quickly jump for some peanut butter and sweet apples... Perfect combination of sweet and salty. When I am in the mood for some hard candy, I just grab some grapes and pop them in the freezer. Once they are frozen I eat them like sweet little hard candies.
