Time for another tech review…. The only way I know how to. SUPER SUPER EXTRA with my boo and photographing beast Lyra Oaka Today’s tech review is on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in Coral Blue. In lew of the S8 coming out soon, I thought it would be fun to do a review on the S7 Edge, mainly focusing on the 2 main parts of the phone I am most interested in…one, is the phone as water resistant as they say and two, can we take underwater photo with it. So for today post we will be answering the first question, is the phone truly water resistant. To answer this question I knew that I would have to drown the phone. And if I was going to drown the phone, why not do it in the most EXTRA way I could think of, a high fashion underwater shoot…. Because why the hell not… Will the phone survive? How did it fair?..... Well, it did amazingly well. What I learned during this fabulous extra experiment is the phone is as they say, water resistant. The phone spent approximately 3 hours in total under water and still works perfectly. But here’s some word of advice, if the screen of the phone is cracked, it’s no longer water resistant. The seal has been broken. And if water enters the charger port, which it will, if you decided to submerge it completely under water, here is what will happen. The charging port will not allow your phone to charge until the phone is dry. Yes, the phone will continue to work but you wont be able to charge the phone for a few hours. It’s how the way the phone is built to keep itself from shorting out. So, once the phone gets out of water, just place is in a bag of rice for a few hours so it dries completely then charge it. If you are not sure if the phone is fully dry, just plug it into the wall and the phone will just warn you that it still detects some moisture and will ask you to let it dry a little bit longer…. That’s all. Part 1 of this experiment is over, let’s take this phone out on another underwater photo-shoot. But this time, we will be testing out it’s photo quality. Can the phone take photos under water, and if so, how do the photos turn out…. STAY TUNED…. THANK YOU ALL FOR STOPPING BY XOXO JOY KENDI

The phone spent approximately 3 hours in total under water and still works perfectly. But here’s some word of advice, if the screen of the phone is cracked, it’s no longer water resistant. The seal has been broken, so don’t try it. And if water enters the charger port, which it will if you decided to submerge it under water, here is what will happen. The charging port will not allow your phone to charge until the phone is dry. Yes, the phone will continue to work perfectly fine but you won’t be able to charge the phone for a few hours. It’s the way the phone is built to keep itself from shorting out. So, once the phone gets out of water, just place is in a bag of rice for a few hours so it dries completely then charge it.
